The COOPERAZIONE PER L'INTERVENTO SANITARIO ITALIANO
- O.N.L.U.S. (Not Lucrative Organization
of Social Usefullness) or more shortly COOPERAZIONE I.S.I. - O.N.L.U.S.
is a social cooperative , founded in 1986 by 11 associates in Milan. and
constituted today by 64 associates.
Although all the efforts made by many people in order
to improve the living conditions, the number of the persons in need of
solidarity is increasing continuously. In
order to satisfy who wants to help the in developing Countries or in state of
emergency, carrying out the evangelic message "to make oneself neighbour",
the COOPERAZIONE I.S.I. operates, nonprofit, with volunteers
coming from various parishes of the neighbourhood, who work free of charge,
for picking up all the requested items
for the health care.
In a modernly organized center, the volunteers of COOPERAZIONE
I.S.I. operate so that also the people and humanitarian agencies in
possession of limited financial resources can help the needy populations in the
health care. In order to support such action, besides a voluntary service
activity, it is possible with a financial contribution. Because COOPERAZIONE
I.S.I. is a O.N.L.U.S., the until Lit. 4.000.000 or until 2% of the income
of enterprise contributions make possible a tax deduction complying with D.L.
460/97 (art. 13).
Since the aid is adressed to the developing Countries, COOPERAZIONE
I.S.I. supplies drugs and
medical products coherent in the costs and the characteristics with the reality
of the receiving Countries.
About the drugs COOPERAZIONE I.S.I. tries to
realize such objective following the indications of the W.H.O.
(World Health Organization), that promotes the use of "essential
drugs", since they satisfy the needs of the population's majority in the
health care.
Moreover COOPERAZIONE I.S.I. strives to
supply generic drugs, identified with the name of the active ingredient and not
the specialities, identified with the trade-mark, avoiding the higher costs of
purchase of the specialities.
So this avoids a generalized use of the specialities,
often collected in different amounts, presentations and trade-marks, so that it
is not always easy to carry out
continuative and programmed health cares.
OPERATIVENESS
The activity is carried out in a center situated in
Peschiera Borromeo (Milan) (in vicinity
of the airport of Linate), constituted by offices
and an
equipped 1200 sqm warehouse with refrigerator.
The distribution of drugs for human use is authorized
in conformity with D.L. 30/12/1992 n. 538.
The COOPERAZIONE I.S.I. is provided with a modern EDP
that manages administration,
estimates, customer and supplier orders, delivery notes and invoices.
The charge and
the discharge of the products in
warehouse have been automatized by means of an EDP procedure to optical reading
of bar codes (products, allocation and, if existing, batch and expiry date).
For the products with batch and expiry date, the procedure manages the
stocks on the base of the expiry date
and allows to know their destination, in agreement to the GOOD DISTRIBUTION
PRACTICES.
The orders are carried out by the volunteers of the
COOPERAZIONE I.S.I., coming from various parishes of the neighbourhood.

The COOPERAZIONE I.S.I. is able to supply the following

- ADVICE ON THE PROBLEMS OF THE HEALTH IN THE
DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
- SEARCH OF NOT
INDICATED IN THE PRICE-LISTS PRODUCTS
- SUPPLY OF
POWDERED MILK
- SUPPLY ON DEMAND OF DRUGS WITH TRADE-MARK, IF THE
EQUIVALENT GENERIC DRUGS ARE NOT AVAILABLE
- STOCK OF GENERIC AND ESSENTIAL DRUGS, indispensable
in order to guarantee a ready participation in occasion of emergencies
and in order to evade quickly the demands
-THE ORDERS ARE CARRIED OUT with:
- preparation of kist of drugs and medical supplies
- preparation of the packages and their labelling on
the basis of the specific request, supplying on demand the packing-list
- shipment of the items by sea,by air, by parcel post
- shipment of special packing for cool items
(i.e. between 2°C - 8°C, etc.)
- implementation
of the custom and import dispositions of the receiving Countries
with preparation of the necessary documentation
